Ariana Grande was extremely supportive of Mac Miller’s sobriety.
After news of Mac Miller’s passing made headlines, fans were quick to attack his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, – claiming that she walked out of his life when he needed her most. Little did fans know, while Miller and Grande were dating, she overextended herself to support his road to sobriety.
Miller’s close friend and podcast host, Shane Powers, spoke highly of Grande during Monday’s episode of his podcast, The Shane Show, “They were very much in love and I have to say, she was incredible when he was first sobering up. She was a fucking G to him. There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana. I saw that, I was around it. I took phone calls from her. ‘How do I help,’ ‘what do I do?'”
Powers went on, “This little girl was unbelievably involved and helpful to him being healthy. Because whether he was an addict of not, the way that Mac partied was not healthy. I gotta tell you, man, there was no one in his life more ready to go to the wall for him when it came to him being sober. She was an unbelievably stabilizing force in his life and she was deeply helpful and effective in keeping Mac sober.”
Miller and Grande called it quits back in May, however, they remained close friends.
