Grammy Award winner, singer, and passionate activist Alicia Keys gave birth to her second son on December 27th at 1:52 a.m. Keys, 33, and her husband Swizz Beatz, 36, real name Kasseem Dean, named their baby boy Genesis Ali Dean. Genesis weighed in at 6 pounds and 5 ounces.
Born only two days after Christmas, Genesis was a wonderful gift to the exciting couple who could barely wait for their new bundle of joy to arrive.
Keys announced the arrival of her son on her Instagram account @aliciakeys where she posted a heartfelt photo of Genesis’ footprints.
Keys and Dean already share a 4 year old son, Egypt Daoud Ibarr Dean, who I’m sure is very excited to be a big brother. Genesis is Keys’ second child, and Dean’s fifth. Dean already has 3 older children from previous relationships.
Just 3 months before the birth of their first son, the couple tied the knot on July 31, 2010 on the French island of
Corsica.
