Chance The Rapper and Jeremih are spreading a little holiday cheer! Just in time for the holidays, Chance and Jeremih team up for their collaborative album, Merry Christmas Lil Mama: The Gift That Keeps On Giving. Laced with 12 new tracks, the new project features guest appearances from Valee and Hannibal Burress.
Merry Christmas Lil Mama arrives just days after Jeremih was released from the hospital after a lengthy battle with COVID-19. The singer had become so ill at one point that he was hospitalized and placed on a ventilator to assist him with breathing. At the time, Jeremih’s family requested that friends and fans keep him in their prayers.
Prior to the projects release, the duo’s team released the following statement, “To celebrate and express a moment of gratefulness for Jeremih’s recovery on December 4, Chance and Jeremih started to liven up the Holiday season with the release of their Christmas track “Are U Live” from the album (which was recorded, and the video was filmed, in 2017).”
