Juice WRLD’s funeral is held 5 days after his death.
Today has proven to be an extremely sad day. This afternoon, Juice WRLD’s family and friends gathered in Harvey, Illinois to say their final goodbyes to the “Lucid Dreams.” Born Jarad Anthony Higgins, Juice passed away on Sunday after suffering fatal seizures at Chicago’s Midway International Airport.
TMZ has reported that Juice WRLD’s open casket funeral was held at Holy Temple Cathedral Church Of God In Christ in Harvey. Those in attendance included Juice’s mother, Carmella Wallace, Ski Mask the Slump God, Interscope record executives and more.
During the service, Juice’s mom, siblings, and grandmother paid tribute to him. The program included a collage of special photo’s of Juice WRLD, who was only 21 at the time of his death.
In a statement released earlier this week, Wallace revealed that her son had been battling a drug addiction, “We loved Jarad with all of our hearts and cannot believe our time with him has been cut short. As he often addressed in his music and to his fans, Jarad battled with prescription drug dependency.”
In an effort to hide drugs from feds searching his private jet, Juice ingested a fatal number of Percocet pills. During the search, 70 pounds of marijuana were found, as well as bottles of codeine.
