Layton Greene Recruits All-Star Lineup For New Single “Leave Em Alone”

by Derrius Edwards

Viral social-media sensation and QC The Label’s newest acquisition Layton Greene recruits Lil Baby, City Girls & PnB Rock for a soothing rendition to the famed 2007 Ciara/50 Cent collaboration “Can’t Leave em’ Alone“.

Layton’s angelic voice in conjunction with Baby’s headstrong lyricism, followed by City Girls untroubled wordplay served as the most appropriate alley-oop to PnB’s peculiar way of highlighting the importance surrounding modern day TLC.

Any woman that has fallen for the prototypical “bad boy” can attest to the learned lessons deriving from such an erudite experience. In the same breath, any guy that has become swindled by the antics associated with being involved with a “bad girl” can also relate to the personified message.

What’s appealing to the worldly-eye may not be what’s best for the soul.

“I love this record! It’s just so fun, and I feel us ladies have all been here before. We’ve all been down for a bad boy and I know for me it was hard to leave him alone! Being able to do this song with a couple of my label mates, being that I just signed with QC, is beyond amazing!” — Layton Greene

As reflected in the chorus, “I can’t leave em’ alone/Tried to change my ways, but the dope boy’s turn me on/Trap niggas know what I want/So caught up that I can’t leave em’ alone“, it’s evident Layton has developed a contrasting affliction of a learned infatuation with gentlemen of a certain standard/occupation.

With the 20-year-old vocalist being QC’s first R&B signed artist, the future is female, periodt.

That’s it, that’s how I’m finishing this prophetic peace.

Check out the summer smash here.
