DJ Khaled’s Father Of Asahd album is here!
Just in time to kick off the weekend, DJ Khaled’s Father Of Asahd album arrives. After waiting more than a year for the highly anticipated project to arrive, fans finally have their hands on the star-studded album.
Serving as the followup to 2017’s Grateful, Father Of Asahd features production from Khaled’s 2 year old son, Asahd, and guest appearances from the late Nipsey Hussle, Jay Z, Beyonce, Chance The Rapper, 21 Savage, Big Sean, Jeremih, Post Malone, Meek Mill, Jeezy, Cardi B, and more.
According to DJ Khaled, this is his best body of work yet. During an interview with Extra, the hit producer stated, “We gonna change the game… The 11th album is the new chapter of more success, more blessings, more loves. Not only is it my best work, that bar going to be high, really high.”
As for his standout track “Higher”, with Nipsey and John Legend, Khaled says the song is Grammy worthy, and he felt honored to work with the “Racks In The Middle” rapper before his untimely passing, “This is the type of record I would ask Jay-Z to get on. I even told him, ‘We’re going to win a Grammy.’ Because that’s how I feel about my album. I really feel like not only is this my biggest, this is very special.”
Khaled, Nipsey, and Legend shot a music video to accompany Higher, in which Khaled recently reflected on, “We on this rooftop. Man, the energy was so beautiful. It’s been hard for me to watch the video, and listen to the song, but also, it’s very beautiful. When you see it, and hear it, you’re going to understand what I’m saying. It’s very beautiful because long live Nipsey Hussle. The Marathon Continues.”
