Reginae Carter opens up about working with Lil Wayne.

It’s undeniably true that Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V is one of the best albums to hit the scene this year. The project was well accepted and featured a number of guest appearances – including a very special one from his daughter, Regina Carter, on “Famous.”

Wayne has been in the rap game for a minute, and has released 12 studio albums, but not once has he collaborated with his daughter. According to Reginae, she been yearning to work with her father for years.

During an interview with PageSix, Reginae expressed how excited she was to get into the studio with her father, “Like I would always say, ‘Dad we could be the new Nat King Cole! He did stuff with his daughter!’ I’ve always said that to him, so for him to put ‘Famous’ on the album and it get such a good outlook like everybody loved it on the Billboard charts, that really just made my whole entire life.”

Reginae also opened about letting the wrong people into her life, “I’ve had friends that — well I’ve had people that come in my life that’s been around for so long and I found out that their intentions wasn’t right. They stole from me. They lied on me. I’ve had all of that. At a young age, it’s crazy that I’ve dealt with so much already. But yes, I’ve dealt with all of it.”

Reginae will be featured on T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle, which makes it premiere tonight on VH1.
