[BREAKING] Cardi B Turns Herself Into Police, Charged With Assault and Reckless Endangerment

Cardi B maintains her innocence.

Early this morning, Cardi B surrendered to authorities in connection to a strip club fight in Queens, New York, that she was involved in earlier this year. The “Bartier Cardi” rapper was officially booked at the 109 Precinct, where she was fingerprinted and had her mugshot taken.

Cardi was charged with assault and reckless endangerment. A court summons was issued, and she was released around 11:45 a.m. She is scheduled to be arraigned on October 29.

Details of the fight are scarce, but two bartenders (sisters Jade and Baddie Gi) that work at Angel’s Strip Club claimed that Cardi ordered an attack on them because she believed that her husband, Offset, had had an affair with one of them. Both bartenders were hurt during the incident, but refused medical treatment.

The victims’ attorney, Joe Tacopina, released the following statement to PEOPLE, “Cardi B ordered and committed violent assaults against my clients, and is being called to justice for her crimes.”

“Apparently, she thinks her celebrity status puts her above the law, since she has bragged to multiple people and on social media that she orchestrated these vicious attacks. But reality is setting in, as justice does not care whether her name is Cardi B or Carly B, and she will now answer for her crimes.”

Cardi’s attorney says he’s “aware of no evidence” that she “caused anybody any harm.”
