Today, Vallejo hip hop group SOB X RBE is releasing their highly-anticipated new album via their own SOB X RBE label and EMPIRE.
GANGIN II is the sequel to their critically-acclaimed debut, and features the previously-released singles “Vibes” and “Made It.” The new album follows a successful year for the group so far, as they saw their smash hit “Anti” achieve certified Gold status from the RIAA and the group was featured on the cover of The FADER’s summer issue. Their debut album GANGIN, released earlier this year, was crowned Best New Music by Pitchfork and their 2017 self-titled mixtape was included in The New York Times’ year-end album list in a year that solidified the group’s emergence as hip hop heavyweights.
The group also launched their Global Gangin tour this summer with performances in New York’s MoMA PS1 Warm Up Festival, as well as San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival, where the group performed for a crowd of over 25,000 people in the city’s historic Golden Gate Park. The tour picks back up again on October 4th at New York City’s Irving Plaza and sees SOB X RBE play 14 dates across the country before embarking on a 7-stop tour of Europe to end the year.
