Tuesday afternoon, Memphis rapper Young Dolph, born Adolph Thorton, was arrested for marijuana possession and violation of vehicle registration. Dolph was pulled over on Airways Boulevard at 2:45 p.m. because his 2015 Rolls Royce didn’t have proper tag information. When officers approached his vehicle they smelled a heavy marijuana odor. The officers then noticed marijuana seeds on the passengers seat, as well as finding a small bag of marijuana in Dolph’s sock. After running his name in the system, it was discovered that the 30 year old rapper also had an active warrant out for his arrest in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dolph was taken to jail, and his bail was set at a measly $100 bucks. He appeared before a judge today where he plead guilty to misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He paid a $250 fine and called it a day. Only moments after being released from jail Dolph posted a photo of himself outside of the prison with the caption, “I’m starting off my day wit a blunt of cookies.”
Clearly he hasn’t learned his lesson.
