Chris Brown filed legal documents on Wednesday in Houston, Texas to establish paternity of his 1 year old daughter Royalty. The 26 year old “Liquor” singer and his daughter’s mother, Nia Guzman, have been unable to see eye to eye when it comes to custody and child support issues. Brown has been paying $2,500 a month in child support payments, but Guzman is seeking a whopping $15,000 a month.
Brown is confident that the judge will set an amount that is closer to what he’s already paying, rather than what Guzman is requesting. Brown is also asking the court to set custody guidelines. It has been reported that Guzman has been refusing to allow Brown to see his daughter. However, just one day ago Brown posted a photo of himself and Royalty on his Instagram.
Hopefully the courts will help Brown and Guzman work through these issues so they can co-parent without the messiness.
