50 Cent filed for bankruptcy in July of last year, however, the 40 year old Queens rapper continues to flaunt large amounts of cash on Instagram. Now, U.S. bankruptcy Judge Ann M. Nevins has ordered Fif to appear in court to explain the photos.

During a hearing in Hartford, Connecticut on Thursday, Nevins stated, “I’m concerned about allegations of nondisclosure and a lack of transparency in the case. There’s a purpose of having a bankruptcy process be transparent, and part of that purpose is to inspire confidence in the process”. She added that bankruptcy court is where “an honest but unfortunate debtor can come into court and seek relief”. Nevins also told 50’s lawyer, James Berman, “When that process becomes very public, the need for transparency, I believe, is even higher”.

Berman claims that 50’s posts are all part of his profession in the entertainment industry and that the money that is seen on his Instagram “are only for image-related purposes”. Fif’s legal team assured Nevins that he would show up “to make sure that all questions have been addressed”.

Naturally, 50’s excess online flaunting was brought up by headphone maker Sleek Audio, SunTrust Bank (STI) and Lastonia Leviston, who are owed a combined $29 million.
