I’m proud of 50 Cent for admitting his wrongs and taking the high road. In the past, we’ve seen him indulge in a couple of Instagram beefs (with Meek Mill, Diddy, etc.) that we thought would never end. But today, 50 has proven that he is capable of being logical and handling situations professionally when it matters the most.

A couple of days ago, Fif was scrutinized after he uploaded a video of Andrew Farrell, 19, a disabled airport worker that he claimed was high on drugs. After the video went viral, Farrell’s parent stated that they were disgusted with Fif’s comments. They also revealed that Andrew suffers from autism, social anxiety, and Asperger’s syndrome. Like many fans, Farrell’s mom and stepfather felt that 50 owed their son an apology, and stated that they would sweep the incident under the rug if the 40 year old rapper agreed to do so.

After evaluating the situation, 50 has taken the Farrell family up on their offer and released the following statement apologizing to Andrew, “While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man. It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disability community, which is a source of great strength in America. I have apologized personally to him and his family.”

Kudos to 50! Maybe the Farrell family will consider dropping their lawsuit against him now.
