After Drake pretty much ended Meek Mill’s career, you would think that he was done taking shots at other artists. But Meek clearly hasn’t learned his lesson. Yesterday, the 28 year old Philly emcee released his new four track EP 4/4, which features a track titled “Gave ‘Em Hope” that subliminally targets 50 Cent. In the new song, Nicki Minaj’s boo mocked 50’s nonexistence relationship with his 18 year old son, his filing for bankruptcy, his ongoing beef with MMG head honcho Rick Ross, along with a number of other touchy subjects. This came as a surprise to many because 50 and Meek have never had beef in the past. But I guess Meek felt it was his duty to play backup for Ross.
In the song, Meek raps, “You popping sh*t on your Instagram / Sh*t that you’re popping ain’t adding up / Sh*t that you’re popping ain’t making sense / I got fifty reasons say you’re taking d*ck / And it’s fifty reasons I should kill, n*gga / But, for real, n*gga, I been taking trips with my Philly n*ggas / Got the richest chick, she’s from your hood / N*ggas hating on me, I ain’t really tripping, sh*t, I’m good / I be in the 40 with the .40 on me like I should / I be deep in your ‘hood where you never be at / Be with them guys that you never could never dap / You could never adapt / You know the game, if you co-sign a rat, you forever a rat / We were never with that / You tried to ‘Money May’ with that paper, but now you in debt cause you never was that.”
Ya’ll know it wasn’t long before 50 was on Instagram clapping back at Meek, who he referred to as “sh*t head”. 50 ripped into Meek with a number of hilarious memes with captions reading, “LMAO Hey shit head, your career is over already.you better focus on getting Nikki pregnant so you can at least get child support girl. 💩💩💩 new meek emoji lol”, “Hip Hop’s first retarded MC. This nut make philly look bad. I got put some new philly artist on because this fool. SMH #SMSAUDIO #FRIGO”, and “But your honor, I’m not a gangsta, I’m just retarded. Look I went at DRAKE, FUTURE, and 50cent. Smh Shit head!💩 #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO.”
Meek insisted that he wasn’t going to go back and forth with Curtis in a lengthy Instagram post that ended with him writing, “This my last insta-fingers post for a min lol.”
