Social media soldiers are shamelessly slamming Christopher—of O.J. Simpson trial fame—for entering a not guilty plea for Eric Holder, the man accused of fatally shooting the “Real Big” rapper outside of his Marathon Clothing store in South L.A. on March 31.
In the days since appearing in court as a legal representative for Nipsey’s alleged killer on April 4, sources connected to the well-known lawyer claim he’s received a flurry of threatening message on social media, according to several sources.
Some of the shade Chris Darden received includes:
• “C**n bastard I hope you die.”
• “You a sell out garbage ass ni**a.”
• “You a bitch.”
• “Shame on you for taking on the Nipsey Killers case. You doing the entire culture a disservice.”
Chris Darden’s daughter, Jenee, went on social media earlier this week revealing she too was “receiving vile comments and messages” since her dad took on Eric Holder as a client.
“Like many of you,” she wrote, “I found out about my father’s involvement in the case while scrolling through social media. I was not prepared for this backlash that has triggered bad memories from the O.J. Simpson trial.” She added that she has “no say in the cases he takes on.” It is unclear if Christopher Darden will work through the duration of the case or whether he is just representing Holder for the arraignment.
