Yo Gotti Reportedly Named Person Of Interest In Young Dolph Shooting
Yo Gotti may be involved in the shooting of Young Dolph.
As previously reported, Young Dolph was shot yesterday outside of The Shoe Palace in Hollywood, California. Dolph was immediately rushed to a local hospital where he was treated for multiple non-life threatening injuries.
At the time, police were unable to identity or arrest any suspects. However, TMZ is now reporting that Dolph’s rival, Yo Gotti, played a role in the shooting and has allegedly been named a person of interest.
Both Dolph and Gotti were staying at The Loews Hotel, when their crews got into an argument. Shortly after, shots were fired, ultimately hitting Dolph. Witnesses told police officers at the scene that Yo Gotti was involved.
Los Angeles Police Department officer Meghan Aguilar released the following statement to KTLA, “They had an argument, which escalated to a physical fight. At one point, Young Dolph was knocked to the ground. And then one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and began shooting at him.”
Aguilar added, “We have one individual detained. We’re not sure if that was the person who shot Young Dolph.”
Yo Gotti and Young Dolph have been publicly feuding for the past couple of years. Apparently, Gotti wanted to sign Dolph to his record label, but became offended when Dolph turned down his offer. The two have been taking shots at each on social media and diss tracks since.
Dolph is currently in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
