XXXTentacion Apologizes For Cancellation Of Anti-Rape Event

xxxtentacion apologizes for cancellation of anti rape event

XXXTentacion issues an apology to his fans.

A couple of weeks ago, XXXTentacion revealed that he would be hosting an anti-rape event during Art Basel Miami Beach, which was organized to bring rape victims together to share their stories and support each other.

The “Look At Me” rapper made the announcement via Instagram in a short clip, “At Art Basel this month [Editor’s Note: 2017 Art Basel in Miami is Dec. 7-10], I will be hosting an anti-rape event where basically rape victims can come to this event and tell their stories and help others, and support others who have been through a similar instance.”

“I’d ask that if you come to the event you come bearing no type of negative energy and you make sure you come with the full support in your heart to those that have experienced any sort of post-traumatic experience or event. I ask that you be understanding.”

Surprisingly, one day before the event was scheduled to take place, XXX had to break the disappointing news to his fans that the anti-rape event had been cancelled, “It was my fault completely that the event was canceled, so I take full responsibility for it. I put the venue address out, which caused the venue to get spray painted, so I fully, thoroughly apologize. I’m gonna make sure this happens. Please forgive me.”

XXX insisted that he will make it up to his fans this week with a free show. He also says the event will go on once he finds a new venue, “I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure this goes through properly. I’m always going to try to be a man of my word […] I’m going to have the date and the venue for you sometime this week. I want to make sure I do this correctly, so that way everyone is comfortable telling their stories, and that they’re not around a bunch of people that don’t care for them.”
