Wendy Williams Says Cardi B Shouldn’t Have Accepted A Ring From Offset
It’s safe to say that Wendy Williams won’t be attending Cardi B and Offset’s wedding.
Less than a week after Offset proposed to Cardi B, Wendy Williams is already offering advice to the newly engaged couple. While #BardiGang is ecstatic that Cardi is in love and plans on spending the rest of her life with Offset, Wendy is totally not around for it.
On the newest episode of The Wendy Williams Show, Wendy was quick to throw Offset under the bus and suggested that Cardi shouldn’t have accepted the 8 carat diamond ring from the “Bad And Boujee” rapper.
“I’m trying to draw the picture for you all, right. But he’s a Kelly, and now that he’s engaged to Cardi B, he’s all of a sudden kind of elevated his social status to something different. Her career is on fire right now, all the more reason not to accept the ring.”
“[She’s] 25-years-old, Cardi came from nothing; bought herself some new teeth; she’s got a really good career right now! And, my thought is, there’s a whole lot that goes into staying exactly where you are Cardi, or getting better, because you’re going to get endorsements… things are about to happen and this is not the time to be stalled with a guy you’ve only known for eight months.”
Wendy goes on to say, “Even accepting the ring is accepting things to happen … it doesn’t mean they have to get married now, but the proposal is the drum roll. No one has time to wait for a 5-year engagement.”
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper has yet to respond to Wendy, but either way, I doubt Wendy’s opinion will influence Cardi to reconsider her engagement to Offset.
