[UPDATE] XXXTentacion Released From Jail, Put Under House Arrest
XXXTentacion is a free man.
It looks like XXXTentacion will get to spend Christmas with his family. On Friday, XXXTentacion, born Jahsey Onfroy, was taken to jail after he was charged with seven felonies in his domestic violence case – including different degrees of witness tampering and witness harassment. Days later, the “Garette’s Revenge” rapper was hit with eight new felonies, which are all related to witness tampering.
Initially, XXX was set to remain in jail until his next trial date on January 24, 2018. However, he was released from custody yesterday, and placed on house arrest for the next two months.
According to X’s attorney, David Bogenschutz, the judge will allow X to fulfill his contractual obligations while on house arrest, which gives him permission to visit a local recording studio. X is restricted from having any contact with the victims or witnesses in the case.
Once the 60-day house arrest expires, Bogenschutz is hoping to get X released on bond while they prepare for his case.
Stay tuned for updates on this case.
