I bet ya’ll didn’t see this one coming! After producing biopic movies for the late Aaliyah Haughton and Whitney Houston and racking in mixed reviews, I thought they were done. But Lifetime is at it again, this time around we will get front rows seats to “Un-Break My Heart”, an original movie based on singer Toni Braxton’s memoir. Unlike Aaliyah: The Princess Of R&B, and Whitney, Toni has given producer’s her permission to move forward with her life story. Un-break My Heart will follow Toni’s life as she deals with a severe chronic illness, financial troubles and divorce while navigating her son’s autism and family struggles.
Braxton will executive produce and appear in the film, which is set to begin production later this year. Un-Break My Heart will also be executive produced by Craig Baumgarten, Erik Kritzer and Marcus Grant, and hails from Link Entertainment. The script was penned by Susan McMartin, with Vondie Curtis-Hall set to direct.
Toni recently finished filming the fourth season of Braxton Family Values, which chronicles the lives of the Braxton sisters on WE tv.
