Taxstone remains in jail.

On Thursday, Taxstone, born Darryl Campbell, was indicted for the murder of Troy Ave’s friend and bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter. Last May, McPhatter was shot and killed during an T.I. concert at Irving Plaza in New York.

The Tax Season host has been charged with second degree murder. However, during yesterday’s hearing he plead not guilty. Taxstone’s attorney released the following statement to The Fader, “We intend to fight these charges and he maintains his innocence.”

Back in June, Taxstone plead guilty to federal possession of a gun as a felon, and obtaining an illegal gun outside of state.

Meanwhile, Troy Ave is enjoying his freedom.
