South Korean artist Rap Monster is the leader of the group Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS), which translates in English to Bulletproof Boy Scouts. The group has been making huge waves in both South Korea and America, really putting the K-POP style of music on the map.

However, Rap Monster has broken away from the group a bit, deciding to team up with some American Hip Hop artist to create a completely different sound. Rap Monster’s most recent collaboration was with Wale on their new single “Change.” Interestingly enough, the collab came rather unexpectedly, stemming from a simple tweet sent out by Wale a few months back after hearing Rap Monster rap over the instrumental to his 2011 single “Illest Bitch.”

The duo decided to drop not only the song this week, but a full music video as well. It’s definitely clear that Wale has been super busy this year. The single is already gaining huge attention, especially because of Wales “racist police” lines and other rather politically-charged verses on the track.

The track is being seen as a great way for Rap Monster to begin the North American part of his BTS’ tour which kicks off this Thursday. Overall, the track is pretty solid and certainly has the potential to become a leading crossover track for both K-pop and hip-hop.
