It’s been discovered that Weezy has jumped on the Tidal bandwagon! It was never announced that Wayne had joined Jay Z’s musical platform. But today he dropped his first single “Glory” off his forthcoming album “Free Weezy Album” on Tidal’s streaming service. In a press release, Tidal employee Vania Schlogel stated, “We’re honored for Lil Wayne to join TIDAL. His eagerness to release an exclusive TIDAL track and schedule a TIDAL X performance is just another example of how passionately artists care about getting their music to fans.” Tidal sure is building up a great team of artists, already having Beyonce, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj on the platform.

On his new track, Lil Wayne takes us back to his mixtape days when he would deliver beasty punchline after punchline. The song is produced by Avenue Beatz, Infamous and Ohnel. Lil Wayne stated, “Tidal is a great way to share music with fans. I’m hyped for people to hear my latest track and can’t wait to show fans love through a special Tidal X.”

Be prepared for a upcoming Weezy concert on Tidal! I’m glad to see that despite his label woes, Weezy will still be able to do what he loves, and happily.
