Kendrick Lamar Working on Original Song for Black Panther Film

Marvel’s Black Panther is one of the most highly-anticipated films of 2018. With its release around the corner, the film’s soundtrack gets a big reveal as it’s announced that Grammy-nominated recording artist Kendrick Lamar is slated to release a brand new original song for the motion picture soundtrack.

Capturing 2017’s biggest Hip-Hop debut with his third album, ‘DAMN’. With the release of his new video, “Love”, Kendrick unveils through a cryptic message in the video that he is working on and will be performing the untitled new song for the film. Kendrick apart of the project is due in part to the liking from both Director Ryan Coogler and Black Panther star himself Chadwick Boseman.

Since the first reveal of the teaser trailer to-date, Black Panther’s promotions have been handled by K-Dot frequent collaborator Vince Staples. Kendrick and Staples last linked up on Vince Staples latest album, ‘Big Fish Theory’ on the track, “Yeah Right”.

Black Panther hits theaters February 16th via Disney/Marvel Studios.
