Joe Budden strikes back at Nicki Minaj.

“People are using Cardi B. Cardi is hot as fuckin’ fish grease and she is being used.”

Following the release of “MotorSport”, a number of rumors began to circulate – mainly, that Nicki Minaj was unaware that Cardi B would be featured on the track. On a recent episode of “Everyday Struggle”, Joe Budden shared his thoughts on the new record, which in fact turned out to be pretty accurate.

Budden stated, “I think that Kanye [West] suggested to Migos to put Nicki on this song. I do not think that Migos or anybody stepped to Nicki and said, ‘We have a record featuring Migos and Cardi and we would like you to get on it.’ I don’t think that happened. […] I don’t think there was a Cardi verse anywhere in this equation.”

Via Twitter – Minaj addresed the allegations, which seemed to confirm Budden’s theory. In a number of tweets, Minaj explained that originally, she and Quavo were the only two featured on MotorSport. She noted that she approves every record that she’s on, and had no issue with Cardi’s verse being added to the track.

“I was on the song w/Quavo. No one else was on it. He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said “ok let’s do it”. The end.”

“Migos weren’t even on it yet. Just Quavo. The conspiracy theories r just so tired. Relax. Breathe. Imagine me not knowing who on a song w/me. Anything w/my name on it gets approved by me. It can’t even go on a streaming service w/o me hearing it & giving written approval. These are men in our culture who simply refuse to let it go. They don’t do this to male M.C.’s. But yo #Motorsport #1 added on urban radio🙏🏽.”

On today’s episode of Everyday Struggle, Budden responded to Minaj’s comments, suggesting that MotorSport was a good look for her because Cardi B is buzzing right now, “Just stop. Who the fuck believes that … Let me try to not sound so harsh with my tone. In her thinking, Quavo called and basically was looking for permission to put one of the group member’s girlfriend on the song?”

“People are using Cardi B. Cardi is hot as fuckin’ fish grease and she is being used. Nicki your brand is huge and you’re a fuckin’ huge superstar brand wise, but you need that record, and you need that look. So, of course, you were going to clear it.”

“If you were not going to clear it, when were you putting your Uzi record out? The record that Uzi did, that your desperate ass hopped on immediately, without being requested to be there, and then sent to Atlantic for them to clear…As they’re trying to break their brand new woman act??? Answer it!”
