Cardi B Isn’t Rushing Her Debut Album

cardi b isnt rushing her debut album

Cardi B provides an update on her album.

After “Bodak Yellow” took over the charts and made history, fans were anxious to hear more from Cardi B. Obviously, she’s been featured on a number of other tracks since it’s release – but we have yet to receive an album from the “No Limit” rapper.

Cardi recently took to Twitter to explain to #BardiGang exactly why her album’s release has been pushed back, “I have a lot of pressure on me. I have songs stashed up. I just don’t think they qualified for my album. Sometimes i think is ready sometimes i think it’s not so I’m going to take my time till it’s right.” While Cardi B provides no official release date for her album, it’s safe to say it won’t drop until it’s perfect in her eyes.

In September, during an interview with The Breakfast Club, Cardi B stated she felt pressured to deliver a dope album, “I wanted to drop next month. Every single time I think I got all the 10 songs I’m like, I’m buggin. These ain’t it. It’s just like, damn I’m competing with myself. I’m competing with the goddamn No. 2 record [on the Billboard Hot 100] and stuff.”

In the meantime, Cardi has been keeping busy in the studio and even previewed a new song a few days ago. On the track, Cardi raps, “I’m just trying to chill and make bangers/Tell all these old bitches they in danger/The thing on my hip whip bitches into shape/That’s what I call a fucking waist trainer/You gon’ run up on who and do what?/I think y’all got your stories screwed up/I came here to ball is you nuts/I don’t want your punk ass man I’m too tough/I’m with this killer shit hands down/If you got a problem with me say it now/’Cause I don’t want to hear no sneak dissing/Especially from you weak bitches.”
