Cardi B Inks Publishing Deal with Sony/ATV
Cardi B is currently the biggest female act in music and now she will be taking her popularity aboard with the announcement of a new international publishing deal with publishing giant Sony/ATV.
The Bodak Yellow rapper is currently signed to Atlantic Records and now joins Sony as a worldwide recording artist. The new deal handles all of Cardi’s music licensing outside the U.S. and takes her sound overseas for festivals and other endeavors.
Sony/ATV Senior Director of A&R, Jennifer Drake, released the following statement, “Cardi B is honest, real and refreshing and has the confidence to say exactly what she is thinking and feeling. It’s tangible and you can connect to that. We are so proud to be able to work with a talented artist like Cardi and excited to see her push the culture forward.”
Bodak Yellow is currently being streamed around 40 million times every week.
Cardi continues to champion the charts with Bodak Yellow. Her debut album is slated for a November release, and will feature guest appearances from Migos, Kodak Black, and many more.
