21 Savage’s “Issa Album” Goes Gold
Issa Album is now certified gold.
Only three months after it’s release, 21 Savage’s debut studio album, Issa Album, has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association Of America.
Fueled by the lead single, “Bank Account”, Issa Album peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200, selling over 75,000 copies in its first week.
Originally, it was projected that the album would sell in between 50,000-60,000 copies. After moving over 500,000 units, Issa Album received its gold certification.
Bank Account serves as the biggest hit of 21’s career. It reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was certified platinum in September. His 2016 Savage Mode project with Metro Boomin’ also went gold, including platinum songs “No Heart” and “X.”
In addition to his solo accomplishments, he is featured Post Malone’s “Rockstar”, which recently nabbed the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks, dethroning Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow.”
